How do I get from the Airport to the Hostel where the Tour starts?
In San Francisco:

Best Way to get to the Hostel from San Francisco International Airport is to take the BART Train from the Airport to the Powell St. Station which is a few blocks from the hostel in Downtown

San Fran.

  • Take BART to the Powell st. station, hostel is only a few blocks away, walking distance.
  • Tickets cost less than $10, you buy them just before you get on the train
  • Trains run every 15 min until midnight!
In Los Angeles:

Cheapest option is by Bus, 45 min…you can take the Route 3 or Rapid 3 ($1 or $2…rapid is faster) to Santa Monica. Operating Hrs: 5:30 AM–12 AM · Bus runs every 15 min. You need to get off the Bus at: 4th and Broadway stop…then walk 2 blocks to 2nd st…and you will see the hostel a few doors down.

By shuttle service:

Taxi is also really easy option. Cost is usually $35 + tip…if you are together with some friends, great option if you have lots of luggage (cost is same with 1-5 people)

Taxi or shuttle the best way, no reservations needed for taxi. You can get a taxi right at the airport anytime. If you are traveling with a friend Taxi is the best way because it cost about $30 total. There is a shuttle service you can book online, the cost for each person to the hotel where the tour starts currently is $18.
