Our tours are designed for people who love getting outside, discovering new places, and sharing the experience with new friends. Bring your curiosity, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to join in.
Your guide is there to help you feel welcome, keep things running smoothly, and make the most of your time on the road. If you enjoyed their care and hard work, a tip at the end of your trip is a lovely way to say thank you. We suggest $20 per week, per traveler.
You’ll also have opportunities to explore independently. Wander around town, discover a new favorite spot, or enjoy some time to yourself. Your guide is a great resource, but your curiosity and initiative are part of what makes the trip yours. Follow your guide’s instructions and be back at the agreed meeting time so the next adventure can begin.
Au Pair Adventures tours are operated by AA Tours LLC.
English is our official tour language. You don’t need perfect English, just a willingness to give it a go!
With travelers from different countries, a shared language helps everyone feel included, join conversations, and build friendships. Please use English as much as possible when you’re with the group, especially when someone nearby doesn’t speak your native language.
You’ll also need to understand and communicate with your guide in English, including directions, meeting times, and safety instructions.
We plan our trips carefully, with room for discovery along the way. Sometimes the best moments are the ones nobody could have scheduled.
Adventure also comes with a few surprises. Weather, road conditions, transportation issues, decisions by local authorities or service providers, and other circumstances beyond our control can affect our plans.
Your guide may need to adjust the schedule, change a stop, rearrange activities, or add or remove a meal. Some changes help us make the most of an opportunity. Others are necessary to keep the trip running safely and smoothly.
Our goal is always to give you the most rewarding experience we can. A little patience, flexibility, and humor can go a long way when the road has other ideas.
Your itinerary and Trip Details document give you a general guide to the route and experiences we have planned. They are not a fixed schedule for every hour of every day.
We intend to follow the planned itinerary, but stops, activities, timing, and arrangements may change. Specific destinations and wildlife sightings mentioned in our trip descriptions cannot be guaranteed.
Every departure is a little different. That’s part of the experience of traveling with a small group through places where nature often gets the final say.
The places are a big part of the trip. The people are, too.
Your guide brings the planning, experience, and support. Everyone in the group contributes through kindness, cooperation, and a willingness to join in. Be considerate of your fellow travelers, respect shared spaces, and help create a group where everyone feels welcome.
You don’t have to be cheerful every minute. Long travel days happen, and everyone needs a little downtime. What matters is treating each other respectfully and working together when plans change.
Travelers who severely disrupt the group may be excluded from the tour.
We know plans sometimes change for reasons you can’t control. Illness, injury, and personal emergencies can happen, and canceling a trip is never fun.
By the time you book, we begin putting time and money toward your place on the tour. Cancellation charges help cover reservation administration, trip planning, and expenses we cannot recover. These charges apply even when you need to cancel because of illness, injury, or a personal emergency.
To cancel, email info@aupairadventures.com. Your cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice by email.
Your refund depends on how many days remain before departure:

We cannot provide refunds for unused portions of your trip, including missed activities, not arriving, arriving late, or leaving early.
Au Pair Adventures reserves the right to cancel or alter a trip because of unforeseen weather, unsafe conditions, low registrations, or other circumstances.
If we cancel your trip, we will refund all payments you have made to us, including any portion of your deposit that would otherwise be nonrefundable.
We cannot reimburse other expenses you incur while preparing for the trip, including flights. Please keep this in mind when making travel arrangements.
We strongly recommend trip cancellation and trip interruption insurance. It can help protect the money you’ve put into your adventure if an unexpected event affects your plans.
Depending on the policy, coverage may include certain medical emergencies, trip cancellation or interruption, travel delays, and lost baggage. Coverage varies, so read the details carefully, including exclusions and purchase deadlines.
You can explore coverage through your own insurance provider or a travel insurance company such as Travelex at www.travelex-insurance.com.
A little preparation now can make an unexpected change much easier to handle.

Your plane flight is not included.
Once you pick a trip, fill out the form and we will respond within 1 day or sooner If your trip is a Guaranteed Departure you will get a big information packet with all the tour and payment information via email.
If you are one of the first 5 people to sign up, we will save you a seat, and you don’t need to pay anything now. Once we have 6 people, we guarantee the trip and we’ll send your information packet. If you change your mind after receiving the packet, no problem...please let us know :-)
