Earning Credits while you travel… AP 208 Americana Destination Course 

Silver Bay Au Pair Courses, the longest-running au pair courses in the U.S., in collaboration with Au Pair Adventures, one of the best rated au pair adventure travel companies are getting together and offering a 36 hour Americana Destination Course. Register for any Au Pair Adventure tour of a week or longer and you can add the Silver Bay 36 hours Destination Course aspect for an additional fee of $250.

REGISTRATION:  once you have registered for an Au Pair Adventure trip, you can register for AP 208 Americana Destination Course online at silverbayaupaircourse.com.
There is a paper version of the registration form attached.  You will then be emailed the course outline/syllabus including online activities to help you prepare for the trip and then Journaling/Reflection (note keeping) writing about the tour during the trip.  The online portion will include sections on American National Parks, US Western Expansion and research on areas you will be visiting.  These portions will be self paced and not have specific times to be online.  The au pair will email back and forth with three instructors concerning assignments.

CERTIFICATE: once you have successfully completed the tour, the online portion and submitted your travel journal, a certificate will be emailed indicating 36 hours of study.

HOW IT WORKS:  you first register for one of the Au Pair Adventure Tours.  Then you register for Silver Bay Au Pair Courses AP 208: Americana Destination Course.   You will then be emailed the non-travel portion of the course.  This homework can be done before or after the travel portion.  During the tour you are asked each day to complete a Journaling or Reflection about your trip.  When you have completed the non-travel portion and the travel portion you submit those to us.  We then take 2-4 days to process then issue a certificate.  There is no need to be on a zoom call at any specific time.  The non-travel aspects are self-paced and you email back and forth with the instructor.
