The California Sun Tour is a two week Adventure that starts by taking you to all the way up the California’s coast from LA to San Francisco! Then the trip is usually running in unison with a ‘Western Sun South-bound’ tour van, visiting national parks like Death Valley, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon as well as the famous city of Las Vegas. The trip finishes off with two night in San Diego before returning back to where we started in LA. Our guides are experts at packing as much fun as possible into 2 weeks of pure APA Awesomeness.

*We travel with a tour van pulling a inclosed cargo trailer to store all the trip equipment and as much luggage as you want

*All necessary camping/adventure tour equipment (coolers, stove, food boxes, tents, sleeping pad, etc..) are included! You only need to bring a sleeping bag for the camping nights

*Most our travelers are Au Pair, so you can expect like minded travelers with a shared experience which creates the perfect adventure travel group dynamics. We connect you with the other travelers before the trip starts. Other young travelers are welcome to join also, being an au pair is not a requirement, just that you are between 18 and 29 yrs old

We will have departures starting from Los Angeles, California on Tuesdays. This means during the second week of the trip, your tour van may be traveling alongside a Western Sun South-bound tour van. Your tour guide’s job is to make the most out of each day for your group. Sometimes tour vans will stick together, but other times they spend the day on different schedules, all depending on the groups.

When you request any tour, you will lock in the rate posted today with no obligation. You get to see all the detailed trip information before making a final decision. We want to reward early bookings, so prices may increase as the date gets closer to departure, but you will keep the price you see today!
*please note we update our website availability manually and often times it can be slightly behind because we hold seats for free with no obligation (1-2 days) while travelers review the detailed trip information, check on flights, etc..and decide if they want to join the trip. Availability showing online does not guarantee the trip still has space, you must fill out a booking request and get a confirmation from our office to confirm space.

Once you pick a trip, fill out the form and we will respond within 1 day or sooner If your trip is a Guaranteed Departure you will get a big information packet with all the tour and payment information via email.
If you are one of the first 5 people to sign up, we will save you a seat, and you don’t need to pay anything now. Once we have 6 people, we guarantee the trip and we’ll send your information packet. If you change your mind after receiving the packet, no problem...please let us know :-)
